The Language Barrier

Trevor J. Bentley · Palgrave Macmillan UK eBooks · 1981

One of the main problems getting in the way of the effective use of computers is the language barrier. A new language has developed alongside the development of the computer. This new language contains numerous words and expressions which are given a different meaning than the normal accepted meaning. This, together with many new words and acronyms, has given birth to a jargon-initiated language that only the computermen fully understand. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
