A Phasor Approach to Digital Filters

Expressions for the frequency response of digital filters can be obtained using phasors, in a way very similar to the familiar analysis of simple analogue networks. These expressions can then be generalized as an informal route to the z-plane, pole-zero filter specification, and even the z-transform of sample sequences.
