J. Mike Jacka, Paulette J. Keller · 2012

Maps are a very effective tool for the reviewer and for the process or unit owner. However, convoluted maps that only the reviewer can understand are useless. To help maintain the simplicity of Process Maps, there is need to remember it is constructed so that it flows chronologically down the sheet of paper. There are two important steps in bringing the mapping project to a close which are transferring the sticky-note maps to charting software and talking with the process owners.
