In this chapter, we will build a Flex application that uses the Data Management Services from LiveCycle Data Services (LCDS). The Data Management Service lets you create applications that work with distributed data. It can synchronize the client and server versions of data and do real-time data updates. The Data Management Service also gives you the power to do on-demand data paging and to work with occasionally connected clients. In our case study, we will use an HSQL database as the data source.
