Release Decision-Making

Abstract The release decision-making process as it relates to the adult criminal justice system is the focus of the two reports in this chapter. In both of these cases, the evaluees had previously been found not guilty by reason of insanity and committed for mental health treatment. The present evaluations for release therefore focused largely on violence risk assessment and recommendations for risk management.
