Graphs and Co-ordinates

J. Newbury · 1981

We usually use graphs to represent neatly a lot of data. A graph is a special sort of accurate drawing, and points on a graph can be located by what we call co-ordinates . Since we will only be working in two dimensions it is usual to locate points on a graph by means of the x co-ordinate , that is the distance from the vertical axis, and the y co-ordinate , that is the distance from the horizontal axis.
