Investigation of Health-Care Fraud

Many burglary calls start o with a call to the police department with a scared victim who reports that they have been “robbed.” e police dispatcher ascertains that the victim was away from their home, and when they returned, they found that someone had entered their residence and taken valuables. e suspects in this type of call are not actually in the residence when the victims return home. Consequently, this is a case of residential burglary rather than robbery. Many victims get these two types of crimes confused when reporting them (Figure 6.1).
