Hui Shi, Zheng Sun, Yong Xu, Cheng Hu, Shan Luo, Wei Ding · 2015

This paper proposes the design method of the 1.0V bandgap reference circuit on chip based on the bandgap reference nucleus. The voltage reference which is lower than 1.25V can be obtained with zero temperature coefficients under normal temperature, in parallel with small resistances near the bipolar transistors. The paper analyzes the impact on the circuit performance by the feedback loop and offset voltage of the operational amplifier (OPA) two main factors and then discusses the key points of the circuit design, including the conditions must be followed in respect of the parameter selection of related devices in order to ensure the OPA negative feedback polarity, the measures taken in the structure of the OPA to reduce the offset voltage, and the start-up circuit added so as to avoid zero current balance, etc. The simulation results show that the performance of the integrated circuit is good, thus meets the design requirements of low temperature drift, high precision.
