Introduction e term social networking refers to applications and services that facilitate collective action and social interaction on the Internet, such as blogs, wikis, social networks, and discussion forums. In recent years, online social networks have become very popular and many websites have sprung up where one can meet their offline friends in the virtual world of the Internet. Services like Facebook, Orkut, MySpace, etc. allow people to host their online social networks. People create their profiles in such social networks and share this information with their friends and a vast number of strangers.
