Combining Transformation Operators
Kelvin Sung, Peter Shirley, Steven Baer · 2008
This chapter discusses the effects of and strategies for combining basic transformation operators. This chapter: • analyzes the advantages and costs of combining transformation operators; • describes the process of inverting a combined transformed operator; • explains approaches to combine and design new transformation operators to accomplish specific scaling and rotation tasks; • derives graphics API support for programming transformations and develops an abstraction to assist in the programming of transformations with graphics APIs.
