Algorithms for Scale-Driven Generalization of Individual Line Features

The previous two chapters introduced algorithms for point-reduction and smoothing of individual line features. In this chapter, another group of algorithms, for scale-driven line generalization , will be introduced. Scale-driven line generalization is a special type of line smoothing, which is directly related to the concept of scale.
