Data and Analytic Practices

Cecilia E. Ford · Palgrave Macmillan UK eBooks · 2008

This chapter provides an overview of data collection along with an introduction to principles of transcription and analysis. Because transcription and analysis are inseparable, CA symbols, terms, and concepts are illustrated by excerpts from the current data, and examples are accompanied by notes on the potential interactional significance of paying close attention to the particulars of sound production as well as non-vocal actions. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
