The existing process of football shape analysis at football industry has significant human-error, large processing time and employs manual visual means of inspection to detect sphericity. The motivation of research is to measure the distance over the circumference of football to ensure that football is in complete spherical shape. Secondly to retrieve the data from the sensors automatically in assimilation with controller and display it on the computer for monitoring action. The novel technique for football sphericity offers digital laser distance measurements sensor based system with better accuracy as compared to employed technique. The implementation results in comparison with functional technique indicates that using proposed laser distance sensor technique, sphericity of football is being measured accurately, with less time consumption and automatic control over the system .
