Temperature Compensation in Logarithmic Amplifiers

Logarithmic and log-ratio amplifiers are most versatile nonlinear elements used for signal compression, estimation of fluctuations in parameters relative to their instantaneous value, multiplication, division and other similar operations. Design details of a multiple diode type log-ratio amplifier have been given here. The design has provision for compensation of amplifier errors occuring due to changes in ambient temperature.
