A mutually beneficial assignment to mathematics and computer programming: nifty assignment

Needless to say, functions are one of the most fundamental concepts in (discrete) mathematics. Most students feel that they know this concept well because they have been dealing with functions since middle school. Unfortunately, this may not be the case. Misconceptions about functions exist and are common among students. The purpose of this assignment is to let student correct their misconception about functions by writing a (short) Java program that prints out all required functions.
