2008: Six months of information security

As the first half of 2008 comes to a close, and we examine some of the latest events in information security, we find ourselves in an extremely delicate period. While companies have begun to understand the strategic importance of protecting their information, the economic crisis and consequent tightening of budgets have caused many people to revert to thinking about tactics and responses, thereby risking exposure to a number of potential problems. In this article we will review the most significant events and discuss their impact on business in general.
