Software tools to aid pascal and ada program design

The style and structure of computer programs is an important feature of program design. Well designed and structured programs are easier to understand, are more readable and can be modified with less effort. Although students are taught to write such programs they have a tendency to underrate the importance of applying and using an accepted programming methodology. Confident that their program will work the first time the urge to test and write a program is often too strong for self-discipline, resulting in code that falls short of perfection. Students need to be coerced to write well designed programs in a manner that will still capture their enthusiasm and excitement.
