Matter Strikes Back: an objectological attempt

We need to consider design from a posthumanist and materialist perspective. To achieve this, we reflect on the ethical, aesthetic, erotic and political conditions of objects and technologies, on the basis of their material conditions. To think about the materiality of objects (which implies thinking about design), we must take into account scales, durations, weights, volumes and attractions, among other factors. Instead of studying the social use of objects and technologies, we attempt to consider their mutant and complex ontologies, providing research methodologies drawn from the objects themselves. This can help us to approach design from a whole new perspective.
