A Simple Set-up for Laboratory Demonstration of Block Code and Syndrome

A simple circuit using only X-OR gates is presented to generate (7,4) linear block codes and syndrome corresponding to any one erroneous bit in a block. The experimental results are satisfactory and are found interesting for the students.
