Hand tremor limits the finesse of microsurgical manœuvres. It can be eliminated if the upper limb is correctly supported. This paper describes mobile arm rests which maintain complete support of the forearms and wrists during movement of the hands in and adjacent to the optical field of the operating microscope (Figure 1).
