A Contribution to the Development of by Niklaus Wirth and C. A. R. Hoare [Comm. ACM, v.9, no. 6 (June 1966), pp. 413-431] was the basis for a compiler developed for the IBM 360 at Stanford University. This report is a description of the implemented language, ALGOL W.
