Abstract. While the MICCAI challenge strives for fully automatic liver segmentation, we present a fast semiautomatic method that is capable of segmenting livers with the help of an experienced human supervisor within 3 to 15 minutes. As fully automatic methods need to be checked for errors by a human observer anyway, we believe that for many practical applications the presented method will be useful. 1
