Towards a smart suit

The paper will present the development of a smart suit, which is called the Intellitex suit. By smart suit is meant a stand alone garment with sensing capabilities for physiological signals, which has the ability to process the obtained data. It is the result of a successful merging process between new textile materials and wearable electronics. The suit to be presented has medical applications: it is meant to be used for long term and continuous monitoring of children in a hospital.
