On a logical formalization of natural language

JAROSLAV PEREGRINThe possibilities and limitations of a formalization of natural language by means of the common logical systems are investigated.The applicability of the traditional Tarskian model theory to natural language is discussed.The direction which the formalizing approach to natural language should take in order to achieve an adequate account of its semantic aspect is indicated.
