A MDA Methodology to Support Multi-Agent System Development
2013
Currently, Multi-agent Systems (MAS) technologies and platforms are either emerging or changing constantly, which implies a high effort in developing software products. This scenario may generate several problems related to software modeling, design, coding, integration and interoperability. The Object Management Group (OMG) proposes the Model Driven Architecture (MDA), which defines an architecture based on platform independent models (PIM) and platform specific models (PSM). In this work we present a model-driven methodology, based on MDA, for the development of MAS. The methodology proposes the use of agent-based PIM and PSM, and defines mapping rules between models. The paper also presents a simple case study to illustrate the proposal.
