Implementation of Linux VPN Gateway Based on Netlink Socket Communication

As a comparatively new IPC, Net link socket has its own predominance in the communication between user process and kernel space. This paper has analyzed the application of Net link socket in the IPSec support mechanism, summarized the Net link socket message format supported by kernel IPSec module, implemented the IPSec VPN gateway with Net link sockets.
