Flow of News and Information in Asia and the Pacific*

A primary concern of developing countries centre on the need to take control of their own news and information systems, and to get a fair and balanced flow of news in and out of their countries. This article reviews research studies of these issues and examines the efforts of news exchanges in Asia and the Pacific to achieve South-South flow of information.
