Cappuccino, muffin, WiFi – but what about the security?

WiFi seems to be nearly everywhere in Western countries. In addition to the ubiquitous coffee shops, free or low-cost WiFi is now offered at many hotels, bookstores, college campuses, libraries, airports and even on airplanes. You can have it with your coffee, but how do you avoid getting into hot water yourself?
