An Extended Tag Event and Event Processing System for Supporting Various Tag Data

EPCglobal Reader Protocol (RP) 1.1 which is a standard for RFID readers includes a tag event system that operates based on tag identifiers. Therefore it does not support events for the changes in tag data such as user memory data and the sensing data. In this paper, to solve this problem, we propose an extended tag event processing system. In the proposed system, we added a new tag event type to the RP tag event processing system to support events on tag data changes. Little modification is needed on application side, since the proposed tag event utilizes RP tag field functionality.
