Enabling Faceted Search over OWL 2 with SemFacet

Faceted search is a prominent approach to facilitate end-users query formulation which is widely used in information systems. This approach was recently adapted to the context of RDF, however, the proposed solutions lack rigorous theoretical underpinning and essentially ignore OWL 2 axioms. We develop a clean theoretical framework for faceted search that accounts for both RDF data and OWL 2 axioms. We im-plemented and tested some of our solutions in the SemFacet platform. 1
