Abstract. Two movements are currently influencing the owners of public datasets to open up what’s inside their organization: the Web API movement and the Open Data movement. The first advocates open Web-services which can provide a specific use case of information. The second advocates raw data to be published to the Web to be able to get used, reused and redistributed.
