Motion Capture, Analysis and Feedback to Support Learning Conducting.

The work presented describes the design, implementation and validation of a system to provide interactive multimodal feedback to help support learning conducting.A 3D motion capture system, used to capture a conductor's right hand movements has been implemented using the Nintendo Wii Remote.The captured data is analysed, extracting conducting related information, including tempo, volume and articulation of beats.The analysis is fed back to the user using multimodal interface which include both visualisation and sonification.
