One Heterogeneous Deployment Model for Wireless Sensor Network and Its Cost Analysis

Junfeng Wang · Radio Engineering of China · 2008

Based on the analysis to the constitution of the wireless sensor node and the analysis to the conditions that each physical component is distributed unevenly and there is normally immense distribution difference existing between these physical components,a novel Wireless Sensor Network Heterogeneous DePloyment Model(WSNHEDPM)is proposed for the future wireless sensor network deployment. In this deployment model, the wireless sensor node is deployed with the distribution comply with the distribution of the sensed physical components to cut off the deployment redundancy and information redundancy so to save the deployment cost. And the further analysis to the deploy cost of the model is made. The analytical and simulation results show that the WSNHEDPM can save deploy cost and more suitable for the future requirements to the Wireless Sensor Network.
