Study on Application of GPS in Horizontal Displacement Monitoring of Ports
Guo Teng-long · Journal of Water Resources and Architectural Engineering · 2011
There are many traditional methods for horizontal displacement monitoring of ports, but these methods would not be performed so conveniently due to the complex environment of the ports themselves. However,GPS has such advantages as high precision, being unlimited by the visual conditions and working all-day-around,the high precision GPS used in port monitoring has such superiorities as high precision, convenient operation, and meeting the actual requirement of monitoring.Taking the monitoring work of a port for example, the GPS method in horizontal displacement monitoring is introduced here, and the accuracy analysis and data analysis are carried out in detail, the analysis results indicate that GPS could fully meet the requirement for horizontal displacement monitoring, and provide some preferences for similar monitoring works.
