EMD ANALYSIS OF NORTHERN HEMISPHERE TEMPERATURE VARIABILITY DURING LAST 4 CENTURIES

Empirical Mode Decomposition, a new time series analysis method, is introduced in this paper. Applying EMD to last 400 hundred reconstructed climate data of north hemisphere, different scale signal is separated. By analyzing the last 3 components of EMD results, we reach some conclusion about the role of climate periodic change on the 20 centuries climate change.
