The Design of the Power Supply for Photomultiplier

Photomultiplier is widely used in photoelectricity testing instruments. According to the demand of the high stability, adjustable voltage for the photomultiplier power supply, a high-voltage digital controlled power supply was designed. A MCU was used as the control chip, computer communicate with MCU through serial port to set the output voltage, employ a DC -DC converter LM2576-ADJ to regulate the input voltage, use the PWM modulator SG3524 to adjust the voltage finely, then take the three times voltage rectifying circuit to further boost the output voltage. According to the testing result, it can meet the demand of the high stability, adjustable voltage for the photomultiplier.
