Design and Development of Environment Information System Based on MapObjects

This paper introduced a new method to develop environment information system by MapObjects and objective oriented computer language, which can combine the advantages of MapObjects to display and analyze geographical information with the flexibility of objective oriented language. The main functions were environment information management, spatial data operating, model analysis, environment quality assessment, urban environment accidents forecasting and prewarning etc.
