Research of Traveling Wave Fault Location Method Under Small Phase-Angle

In order to filter noises,to collect weak traveling wave signals when small phase-angle failure occurred and to implement accurate fault location,this paper utilized an energy ratio method.From the viewpoint of traveling wave energy,rational time window was chosen to continuously process fault traveling wave to carry out the calculation of energy ratio,thus the time-delay of wave front could be calculated and fault location was implemented.Simulation results show that this method has stronger anti-interference ability in the environment with low S/N ratio,accurately identifying weak variation signals.This method has the practical value for traveling wave fault location.
