An Introduction of the Media Access Control of Resilient Packet Ring

The Media Access Control of Resilient Packet Ring has several key functionalities:frame format,transit path,local fairness and spatial reuse and so on,which enable RPR to stand great advantages over other IP MAN technologies.However,current RPR draft still has some deficiencies with its end-to-end delay function and the fairness mechanism.They deserve further efforts of MAN researchers.
