Implementation of HDLC Based on the Asynchronous Transmission Mode

An improved method of HDLC is presented. The traditional synchronous mode is changed into the asynchronous mode by this method. The method retains the main advantage of HDLC while enhancing the anti-interference performance during data transmission and saving the interface of the communication system. The paper briefs the basic protocol of HDLC and provides the VHDL code of CRC and deleting 0. Finally, the asynchronous transmission mode of HDLC is described and the improvement of HDLC is achieved by FPGA.
