Comprehensive assessment method of dam safety based on extenics theory

According to the data of dam safety monitoring, regarding the state of dam safety as matter-element of system, based on matter-element theory, extension set and dependent function,the classical domain and joint domain of dam safety state is decided;and a comprehensive assessment model of dam safety is established by extenics theory; and a practical example of comprehensive assessment by extenics theory is given with comprehensive assessment system's deformation as an example. The example indicates that the adoption of extenics theory in comprehensive assessment of dam safety is reasonable and feasible. It provides a new and more scientific thought and method to assess the dam safety comprehensively from qualitative assessment to quantitative assessment and single index assessment to multiple-index assessment.
