Efficient Search Procedures for Multi-Stage VQ of LPC Parameters at Low-Rate Speech Coding

This paper presents a M-L tree-searched multi-stage vector quantization scheme for the LPC parameters which achieves spectral distortion lower than or close to 1dB with low complexity and memory requirement.The computer simulation results show that it achieves transparent reconstructed speech when used for the quantization of LSPs parameters.
