Distributed Positioning Algorithm in Ad Hoc Network

Positioning technology in Ad Hoc networks has been greatly improved in recent years and that distributed positioning is made to be quite an important capability of the nodes in networks.The development and basic principles of the distributed positioning technology as well as some popular algorithms are presented in this paper.Particularly,the analysis and comparison for three DV(distance vector)-based algorithms:DV-Hop、DV-Distance and Euclidean algorithm is also presented with simulation of these three algorithms in OPNET,finding their advantages and disadvantages with the simulation results.
