Resistance Evaluation of Spring Corn Varieties from Northeast and North China against Exserohilum turcicum

Exserohilum turcicum,whick happened in the Northeast and North China all the year round,was one of the major barriers for high and stable output of corn and caused about 10%～30% production loss in recent years.In order to provide the guides for right using of corn varieties,controlling of disease and breeding for disease resistance lines,35 key spring corn varieties from Northest and North China were tested with the method of artificial pathogen inoculation analyses.The results showed that there was certain difference between different corn varieties.And seeds of the same variety from different regions showed different resistance.Tested corn varieties generally had good resistance against E.turcicum.
