Comparison for determinations blood platelets with dilution method and whole blood method

Objective: Discussing clinical application for determinations blood platelets with dilution method and whole blood method. Methods: Determined blood platelets in different time segments by Sysmex-k-4500 appearance with dilution method and whole blood method, and compared experiment results. Results: There were significant change (P0.01)between dilution method and whole blood method, the more placement for dilution method, and the lower results.But for whole blood method it must to be placed after 30 minutes that results would be stable .Conclusions: Whole blood method is simple and consumes matter little, and its result with direct three or five lines classification diagram, and easy to observe diseases with blood cells; But dilution method required little time , to suit the patient demanding emergency detection. Both methods each had his strong point and complementarity each other.
