Classification of debris flow forecast and its present status and development in research

More researches were carried out in debris flow forecast because of its importance in debris flow disasters mitigation, and more and more types of debris flow forecast appeared. However, a concept with wide connotation (about) debris flow forecast was used in almost all of the researches. For this reason, a systemic classification of debris flow forecast is presented under comprehensive analysis and induction. The concrete connotation of different types of debris flow forecast are determined. Based on the classification, the present status and its development of every type of debris flow forecast are described.
