An Experimental Study on Cutting Resistance of Root Stork of Branch to Branch Graft

This paper studies the cutting force trait of the grafting stock based on poplar sapling and also provides the essential theory of cutting sapling organ which is using in sapling grafting robot.The result of experimentation can be expressed as follows:The cutting resistance increasing rapidly in the beginning of cutting into the stock,it comes to the max when cutting about 2mm into the stock,then decreasing slowly.Every cutting resistance is less than 300N in the condition of laboratory.The maximal cutting resistance decreasing as the cutting speed increasing:the cutting resistance decreasing 0.00275N when the cutting speed increasing by the rate of 1mm/min.The maximal cutting resistance increasing as the diameter of stock increasing:the cutting resistance increasing 16.095N as the diameter of stock increasing 1mm.
