Principle and Application of Video Code Chip ADV611 Based on Wavelet Transform

Image compression is extremely important for such application as transmission and storage of message. This paper discusse the method for construction of generic 9-7 tap bi-orthogonal wavelet filters. The main characteristic and principle of digital video code chip ADV611 based on 9-7 tap bi-orthogonal wavelet filters were introduced. The test results of compression video image signal using ADV611 were also given.
