Application of time-frequency transform to detection and recognition of power quality disturbances

The application of time-frequencyanalysis-based method to power quality disturbances(PQD) analysisis reviewed.Various time-frequency analysis-basedmethods,including the wavelettransform based-method(WT),the S-transform-based method(ST),the short time Fourier transform-based method(STFT) and the Hilbert-Hung transform-based method(HHT) are studied.Their applications to power quality detection and recognitionare analyzed.The problems to be solved and the main developing direction of PQD are discussed.
