Position Sensor-less Direct Torque Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator

Hui Liang · IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics · 2009

Based on the torque model of permanent magnet synchronous generator(PMSG) and the theory of the direct torque control(DTC) ,the DTC strategy is utilized for controling the PMSG in the direct-drive wind power system. It is discussed how to detect the rotor initial position and to construct the vector table under gengerator model, and a DTC system without the position sensor is proposed. The key control part of the system is consisted of DSP320LF2812 and the main power circuit includes PMSG and the power convertor. The experimental results indicate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
